Moving Update

May 23, 2007

Hello everyone-

I apologize for the delay in our update....
Here is what's going on- Our house in Lancaster is taking FOREVER to close and because of that we have lost our house we were in the process of buying. SO! we are currently looking for homes- again. The good news- we are in Paso Robles, we got our kids out of the Antelope Valley and we are staying with Jody and are welcome here until we find a home. We have Jean- our realtor up here- who is so great and has helped us so much (we owe her big!) Jean Ponek Realty. When our house sells I will give the details on what happened, but for now it's too frustrating and detailed to even go there. Chris- He's started at his new store and he loves it. It's a huge store and they have a ton of help, so he goes to work and is a manager. Finally, he goes to work and does what he's paid to do. It's been a long time coming. His old district down south is completely different than up here. So he is really happy.

Ally- She and Tate (Jody's youngest- 7) have become best buds. They are out on the golf cart everyday after homework on the property here. They are having a blast. She had a great welcoming (that had Chris and I both in tears) on her first day of school. After class her teacher said it was as if she'd always been there. She added that she is very sharp and very bright. There are a few girls in her class she made friends with right away and a boy who's 'really funny'. She ready to get into Girl Scouts and karate but will have to wait until after summer.

Braden- He's having a great time playing with Tate and Ally and Tanner (Jody's oldest 14). He wonders why he doesn't go to school any longer (which of course breaks my heart). We will be putting him into a karate class this summer and he gets to play soccer this year so in a few weeks he will be busy again. He loves the golf cart and getting to run around so much land here at the berry farm. He will be 4 June 3rd and seems 5 or 6 already. He's having the hardest time out of all of us. Ally got to go back to school- he didn't. He doesn't get to see his preschool friends or his friends at Chris' softball games...... Needless to say- I feel the most guilt with Braden. But he does seem to be happy. And the mood swings are less than I thought they would be. : )

Ian- Well of course he's doing great. He is such an easy baby now. He took 4 steps the day before yesterday all on his own. He's been doing 2 and then sitting and crawling. Now he is up to 4. He had a pretty bad cough last week so we took him to his Dr. and she said that is could be an onset to asthma. SO that should be fun figuring out! Yesterday and today he hasn't been coughing and he's been sleeping throught the night. So I think it's gone and he's feeling better. I'm not sure if they'll test for asthma or how that works. We'll ask at the next appt.

As for me I'm doing pretty well. Just doing my best to keep everything together and everyone happy. I will be working at the Berry Hill Bistro sooner than planned since it's taking so long to get our house sold. But Chris' hours will work so that he will be home with them when I go to work. I will start in a week or so.

The kids are signed up for soccer, which starts at the end of summer. Braden is so excited he gets to play on a real team like Ally's. It'll be so fun watching him.

Well, I will keep you all posted on what's going on with the house and all. Send me a note! I would love to hear from you!

Love ya,
Erin
