It's garden time in Arkansas again and I am a happy camper. I've planted 4 tomato plants, 6 green pepper plants, rosemary, & mint. Today I will be planting basil that I've raised from seed, some parsley, cilantro, shallots, asparagus and some other herbs that I have seeds for. I also have 3 Honeyberry plants to plant. Honeyberries are like long blueberries. I only have two of the berry plants right now. I ordered two different kinds for pollination, but was sent two of the same one. I called the company (Henry Fields) and they said to keep the second plant and they are shipping the other one I ordered at no cost. I thought that was pretty nice. So now I am headed outside, it's supposed to reach 70+ today, a perfect day for planting!! You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl. |
