April 26th, 2008 was a beautiful sunny day for a wonderful wedding between Artie and I. When we met we knew that we were meant to be together and we complimented each other very well. We had the wedding at the Florida Botanical Gardens in the Wedding Gardens section of the park which is located in Largo not to far from Tampa. We had a noon wedding so it was not to hot but warm enough. It was a small wedding about 15 guests and we had a Best man and a Matron of Honor Daryl and Jennifer who are our best friends. In fact Artie and Daryl went to high school together so it was awesome to have him there. For Jen she has been there for me since the beginning when we both arrived at JCSE at the same time. I really don't remember the vows part of the ceremony because it went by so fast but I know that I was nervous saying my vows because I didn't want to mess them up, I wanted to get them right the first time. The ceremony itself lasted maybe 20 minutes. We then headed over to a courtyard just next to the wedding gardens where we had our small reception. We did the feeding each other with the cake and the arm over arm with the champagne. Once we finished socializing with our guests we decided to head down the street to the Olive Garden for lunch with our best man and matron of honor as well as a few of our friends, because by this time we were all hungry for more than just cake and champagne. It was a great comfortable relaxing way to end the day with our friends. |
