I was leaving here yesterday about noon and as I was pulling out of the carport,
I could see a long snake coming out of the stream. I could see that it's trajectory
would be across our road so I waited until it got in the road, I run over it with my car
and then left to go to town. I called Jan, in the house, and told her so she told Lisa (both of them were home on their day off). Lisa got Daryl's pistol and shot two rounds into the snake because my running over it didn't kill it, at least it kept going. Then yesterday afternoon, Sandy brought the snake up to the yard kind of close to my cottage - surely as a "gift". Jan looked on the internet and it appears that this snake was a "Racer" which lives in the eastern part of TX. I didn't take a picture of it because I don't like snakes. Now we have to be on the watch because if there was one snake, there should be more. I just knew you would think this is interesting. |
