Visiting With Jack

June 19, 2008

I drove to McKinney (north of Dallas and close to 100 miles from here) yesterday to see Jack while he was visiting Sherri (his daughter) and her husband Hans. Jack flew to Dallas instead of driving so he is up there without a car and was glad that we could "run around" while I was there.

I arrived at Sherri's right at noon so we had the whole afternoon to goof off before Sherri got home. Her husband is a bicycle enthusiast so he left in the late afternoon to go for a 40 mile ride which he does on Tue., Wed. & Thu. Jack & I went to look at the outside of the retirement home he wants to move to once he sells his mobile home in Kerrville and it looks really nice with a lot of amenities.

Jack and I also went to the market where Sherri works - what a market and I didn't even go all the way through it. There is one whole section of the market that has any type of prepared food a person would want to eat. Some of it was of the exotic type but most of it was just plain food. Jack had a bowl of broccoli/cheese soup and a Caesar salad and I had a piece of pizza and both of us had a soda. This is a market that makes Whole Foods look sick and Sherri is one of the managers.

Sherri asked me if I would like to stay for dinner so I said yes. She prepared a delicious pasta dinner once she got home from work and then I left and didn't get home until a few minutes before 10. I didn't think about taking any pictures until I got on here this morning. Oh well, that's me.
