As you probably know, we all went to Lexi's 1st birthday party yesterday. I had a few different pictures than Daryl had so will send you three. I ended up staying all night and slept on the Aero air twin bed I let Lisa use. It is elevated so I could get up off of it so I didn't have too bad of a night. Lexi is SO smart. I was cooking dinner last evening and I guess she's figured out that if she wants me to pick her up, I have to sit down first. She came over to me at the stove, loving my legs and she wanted me to pick her up but, as usual, I told her "no honey, I have to sit down" so she grabbed my hand and went over towards the table. She let go and then went over and patted the chair so I sat down. As soon as I sat down, she lifted her arms for me to pick her up and then laid her head on me. Lisa, Adam & I just cracked up to think of what she had done - this was after everyone left. Lexi was up at 7 a.m. this morning riding the "car" that Daryl & Jan gave her and she learned what all the buttons did before she went to bed last night. She especially likes the horn. When Lexi first saw me this morning she just kept staring at me and was probably trying to figure out what I was doing there. I got home about 11:15 this morning and then waited to see "Daryl's" commercial on TV at 2:30. I sat here and laughed right out loud and thought that their commercial was as good as any of the others. |
