Hello All,
Carol and I arrived in Bellingham a few minutes ago and got our stuff
inside. Of course I needed to try the Computer connection through the
wireless set up that is here. Nope-- The wireless is of a type that
requires a software addition to the machine and for that to happen the
company has to have the machines ID number. ( they charge the customer
by
the number of messages they send and receive) So it is back to the
land
line confined to 56k modem operation. Oh well it works.........
Our trip up here was good but very slow in one spot as the Interstate
was
closed in the North bound direction for about 3 miles due to extensive
road repairs from a tanker fire. The detour was long, long, long.
When
you cram in all the trucks and traffic the back up was miles long. We
finally got through that and off we went. Soon we got into the rain
but
it was soft and not driving. So time churned on and we got here about
9:30 tonight.
It is so nice to be here as Carol and I lived in this house twice. It
is
just like coming home again. Even down to saying Hi to one of the
neighbors who was outside when we drove up. It is comforting in an odd
way.
I have a couple of pictures but I'll send them later as the camera is
somewhere in the bedroom along with our stuff.
