Back in the USA

Good Afternoon to ALL,

Carol and I left Bowser this morning heading back to Bellingham via the Duke Point Ferry. Our departure was a relief and created a small celebration by Ralph and Susan who did a wonderful job of keeping us under control for the entire weekend Plus-- which in our case can be a JOB. We had a great time, saw a lot of the things we love and renewed acquaintances with several people we had met thanks to Ralph and Susan on our past trips. "Thank You" for your warm hospitality even though we knocked down your rose arbor and put such an ugly hole in the side of your boat.

So Ralph and Susan were "Free At last" and we were on the Canadian highways wide eyed and mashing on the gas peddle hoping to use up plenty of gasoline to show our support for the erasure of the National Debt through gas taxes.

All joking aside we had a wonderful visit and a care free time.

We made it to Duke Point ferry terminal, on the island, in plenty of time to get on the 10:15 Ferry over to Vancouver. It was a nice morning so we just walked around and soaked up some coffee and sunlight waiting. The ride over to Vancouver was smooth and refreshing as we spent most of the time sitting outside on deck chairs. We arrived at the other end within one minute of the scheduled time and drove off right away. Our only slow down was at the "Peace Arch" border crossing. Some "wacko" had told the border guards last night that she had a bomb in her suitcase. Well that shut down the crossing for most of the night. NO Bomb, just a nut wanting attention. But the traffic was still slow even as we got there hours later. When our turn came we had no problems getting back into the USA and on down to Bellingham.

I have helped Anna repair her kitchen faucet since I got here and the great electrical mystery, in the kitchen, has been solved also. The two duplex outlets that went dead came back to life when I moved the connecting wires in a hidden duplex outlet behind a kitchen cabinet. The connection had carboned up from long use I suppose and simply stopped making connection. I replaced the old outlet completely and all was solved. [I am in hope that St. Peter is keeping track of all these "+" things so they will balance the one or two "-" that may have come up when I was very young !!!!!!!!!!!!!].

We will be here for a few days now then we will begin our adventure toward home. I have attached a few pictures that I was able to label once I got here.

Love to all
