Carol and I have had a good few days since getting here to Bellingham. I was not feeling all together great for one of the days but better the next. I think that my tummy did not appreciate the finer aspects of BBQ'd Chicken. It all went down all right but it all came back for a revisit several times all night. So much for spicy food !!.

We have been fooling around looking at lots of stuff including housing here. What a shocker -- tiny little houses that are 30 - 40 years old plunked on a postage stamp lot are selling in the high $300"s to mid 400K. No way on earth would I consider any of those houses. So we stepped up to modern homes on small lots and the price went to $600+++.

I guess there is a lot of cash floating around here finding its way down from Canada with the Canadian dollar advancing against the US dollar so strongly. Bellingham is wonderful but just too expensive for us considering what you really get in these homes.

We will probably leave here on Monday depending on every ones schedule. I still have plenty of time to get home and get all the tests done for my surgery on the 29th. Since I can see a definite change in my condition I may have to have the surgery sooner. Although I do not see that a few days will make any real difference. [A few more nights like the other night could change my mind quickly.]

I have included a few pictures -- I snapped one of Anna and Carol when they were laughing as we were leaving to go "Junking" "Pals" is good word for them. I also have attached a couple of Deer pictures. We were going out to get into the Van when this deer came walking ever so gently through Anna's yard, past us and onto the lot across the street. Finally, we saw some GIANT Artichokes at a fresh veggie market yesterday. So we got three and had them for dinner tonight with Anna. Anna never had artichokes before she met us so we always try to have them once when we visit. These were simply giant in size. The picture is not too clear but each one was almost as big as a regular dinner plate. They were sooooooooo good.

So that is it for tonight Tomorrow is Sat. so Carol and Anna will be up and out of here by 6:30 A.M. -- Junking. I always such a kick out of that as Carol always finds treasures that simply must come home for someone. Have a good weekend -- we will try to do the same.

Best to all of you
