Here are three pictures that I took yesterday (8/16) while we picking corn. It was foggy outside, so no bright sunshine. My garden is 20ft x 200ft and has piped water all along the upper side.

The first picture is Candy coming out of a row of corn. We put in 33 rows of corn and picked 2/3 of the rows a week ago and now Candy and I are gleaning the same rows. She wound up with 20 qt baggies of creamed corn out of our efforts. Tomorrow we will pick the last 11 rows and will do creamed corn out of that stuff. Should get almost 400 ears of corn out that picking.

The second picture is up at the North end of my garden looking South. The garage and house is off in the background. This year my zucchini, pickling cucumbers (4 plants), hybrid slicing cucumbers (2 plants), 15 tomato plants, 8 bell pepper plants and acorn squash are up at this end.

The third picture is looking NW from the bottom end of our garden. This year we had cillantro. 2 rows of carrots, 4 rows of green beans, 3 rows of spinach, 4 rows of onion (1 red and 3 white), 2 rows of beets and 7 rows of potatoes (4 rows of Yukon Gold and 3 rows of Kennibucks). My grape arbor is on the right and runs the lenght of the garden with 2/3 grapes and 1/3 black berries. My big field (10.4A) is in the background. We will be putting winter wheat in it in late Sept, to harvest next July. My ATV is sitting next to the compost pile where all the corn shucks and veggies leftovers go. Also there is my utility trailer with my 14ft John boat tied to the top.

I have replanted green beans, beets, spinach and carrots that we will harvest late Sept. until it frost mid Oct. or so. The fall crops are always an extra treat.

Its a lot of work, but I love my hands in the dirt and home grown veggies without spray on them are extra good for us. Will clean it all up mid Oct after the frost and get another load of bull and till it in, then say see ya next spring.
