Leaving Bellingham Tomorrow

Our vacation is about over, we have had a wonderful time and will be sad to leave here. It has been like coming home again after being away with all the old places we went, people we know and such. I suppose the good part about vacations is that you only have time for exactly what you want to do. No time wasted on useless stuff and junk.

We are slowly packing up today with the idea that we will lave tomorrow morning very early. We need to go down toward Seattle and pick up our friend Beverly for the ride home. She is our close friend from the desert who has family in Seattle. She is alone and may be thinking of moving up here to be closer to her Dad and sister. It will be a hard decision as it is so final to sell your present home and up root.

After we pick up Bev. we will continue Southward probably stopping for the night somewhere close to the mid part of California. That way we can leave early again and be home before dark.

Yesterday I took a walk in the forest and came across the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. This single plant had two sets of flowers (red ones and a single white one) surrounded by the purple flowers in the background . These flowers were simply growing by themselves in a heavy thicket to huge trees. I took a few pictures so I am going to burden you with more flower pictures. Then when we got home we saw another deer in Anna's back yard just eating away to her flowers. She was a young thing that has not yet reached her full size. She was much more concerned about our presence so she jumped over the fence and was off like a bullet just after I took this picture.

I'll e-mail you when we get home ......... Thanks for riding along with us.

Love to all
