Home in Palm Springs

Good Morning to ALL,

Carol and I arrived home last night about 8 P.M. without any road problems at all. The desert is as bleak and hot as when we left -- no big change there. (I dislike this time of year as Summer has gotten old to me by now). The house was just fine so what can I complain about.

A short summary of the trip : We drove 3312 miles, average fuel economy was 25.5 mpg, and we spent (on avg.) $4.09 dollars per gallon of gas. Considering the size of Carol's Toyota van and the amount of stuff in it, along with three people for most of the trip, (see pictures attached when we left Seattle) the van did just wonderfully in all respects.

Now I need to get ready for the surgery that is coming up. I have to get a blood test (even though I had one just 3 weeks ago), a heart scan and something else (?). But, then I'll be ready and for the most part will be happy to have that past.

We had a wonderful time, we love these road trips, and I hope we can do this again soon. Thanks for going along with us even though you had no chance to not go with the e-mail's.

I'll let you know what happens with the surgery after I get home (surgery is on the 29th)............

Love to all Frank & Carol B.
