Visiting Jack

I arrived at Jack's apartment before noon on his birthday (10/01/08) and got home tonight at 5:45. Jack has a new twin hide-a-bed so I stayed all nite and it wasn't too bad. I was getting Jack's bills in order so he could either pay them on-line or they would be auto-pay.

Jack took us out for lunch yesterday and for dinner last night at the Macaroni Grill which was delicious. I told the waiter that it was Jack's birthday so I took a picture of Jack just before the waiter was going to put the cake in a to-go box. To see Jack with such a smile on his face is priceless because it's rare to see him smile in a picture. We really enjoyed our dinner last night because one of the gal waitresses came and sang Happy Birthday to Jack in Italian and he said that's is the first time anyone had ever told a waiter it was his birthday so someone would sing to him - he was really tickled about that.

Today we went to lunch where Sherri works and had a nice salad being we had such a huge dinner last night. Sherri sat and ate with us so we had a real good time. I came back to his apartment and we did more things to get his computer to what he could handle - I think. I left his house at 4:45 and it is 101.4 miles from my carport to his carport where I parked. When I left today, I thanked him for feeding me and he said I more than earned the meals. We really had a good time and it's the first time in our lives that we've ever been together like this by ourselves, especially going out to eat as we did. So much for my diet......
