Garden and Beer Keg

Mom and I went up to the garden after lunch and picked a bunch. One row (last row) of Yukon gold spuds filled a 5 gallon bucket. Still have 3 - 20ft rows of Kennibuck spuds (white bakers) to dig in early Nov. Picked a chuck full plastic grocery sack, to the brim, of beets. Then I said we might as well look at the green beans. When I picked last Sunday, I figured they were finished. Wrong !!!, we picked 2 grocery sacks full of green beans. Pulled the plants on our way. Also 8-9 green peppers and about 20 tomatoes in all shades of pink and red. The spinch is still growing and will pick them it on Sunday. Needless to say, we have veggies.

Had a nice cold beer out of the tap and just had another. The darn keg said NO MORE ! Sure like that Fat Tire. Tomorrow night for dinner - mom and I are going the Thunderhead brewery, a micro brewery in Kearney, and have a pizza and try thier micro brews. If we fine one we really like, will bring home a 16 gal keg. Craig says their beers are darn good, we'll see.

Mom and I had a full day of errands and garden work. I'll hunt duck tomorrow morning in my own pond. Can't pass up opening day - Quack - quack!
