Vacation Week

It's time to go back to work but having been off this last week couldn't have been better. The Vegas trip was great and getting out before the snow there was icing on the cake. Not having to drive during and right after the snow storm here was also a blessing. I was able to stay home and get projects worked on.

We had a very nice trip to Las Vegas. The flight down on Saturday was later in the day but we had upgraded to first class and it was well worth it. The pampering and the comfort made the flight so much better. Our suite at the MGM had a nice view and the bed was so comfy.

Our adventure Sunday took us to Good Samaritan Lutheran Church. Mom had asked that we meet her there to attend the Cantata they were presenting. It was a very nice program. We got a tour of the church and met many of Mom's friends. Afterwards it was lunch and an afternoon of sharing pictures. We spent Monday with Mom also. After we worked on the computer some we got into an afternoon (and evening) playing the card game Hand and Foot. While Cheryl managed to keep up, I fell way behind as Mom skillfully won hand after hand. It was loads of fun.

Tuesday we took Flat Stanley to see Las Vegas and drove around town. We had already checked out of the hotel, so there were a few hours till we turned the car in. Again, the first class seats made the flight home go by fast.

While the snow fell and temperatures dropped, I spent the rest of the week cleaning up from the trip, working on the computer and getting ready to go back to work. Not a fast pace, but always plenty to do. Cheryl had gone back to work on Thursday and got to see some of the wintry weather fun.
