Ice

Cheryl just called me to ask about the ice storm etc. so I told her we didn't get hit nearly as bad as further north. It rained on and off during the night so with it being 23 this morning at 6:30, we did get light ice.

I did take a picture of the bird feeder and there were icicles from the edges of the house, my outside chairs and anything else that had water on it. I tried to dump the ice out of the sunflower seed dish we feed the birds in but it was solid ice and I couldn't get it out so I fed them on the ground. As soon as I filled up the bird feeder, along with what I put on the ground, the birds were there eating. I think the birds have a line of communication with other birds in the neighborhood because there was a mess of them out there but that's why we feed them.

I bought an electric water bowl for Sandy so I checked it out and the water in that was just barely tepid so she had water at least that wasn't frozen. I guess our high today is going to be 32 which it is now at 3 p.m.
