Daffodils in Mt. Pleasant

My girlfriend, Joanne, called me Monday and asked me if I would like to go see the daffodils in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday. Her sister-in-law is visiting so all three of us went to see them. The strange part is that the map she printed out didn't show the exact street to turn off of but I remembered where it was we were going. Daryl and I went out there three years ago to get the trees we planted out front, that didn't live except for one. If I wouldn't have been there before, there is no way a person can find the place but the owner had given me directions before Daryl & I went there.

The owner of this place has a kind of a nursery but not really open to the public unless he invites you and he wasn't home yesterday. Joanne had a brochure talking about the daffodils but most of them were down behind his house - acres of them - but we couldn't find a way to get down there. We decided on staying with what we saw as we drove into his property.

My batteries died in my camera after a few pictures so I didn't get to take as many as I wanted - so many varieties. Joanne has a big and expensive digital camera so she was snapping pictures galore. Picture 4 & 5 were ruffled and some were double and some were triple blooms. The brochure said these would be in bloom up until April so he must have planted them in a series of time. All those daffodils together gave me a headache as they were PUNGENT and I didn't even know they had their own smell. It's hard to capture all the daffodils we saw but there were LOADS more than in the pictures I'm sending.
