| Artie finally got a chance to go on mid-tour from Korea. He arrived on the January 29th around 9 in the evening so by the time we got home it was bed time. We left on the January 8th to drive to Tupelo, MS, where Artie’s 3 year old daughter Amber is living. While there we visited Elvis’ birthplace and then the next day we went to Memphis, TN to visit Graceland. We took Amber to Chucky Cheese and helped her win a lot of games. We finally left MS on the 11th so that we would have a couple of down days before our trip to Disney World. We left on Valentine’s Day to go to Orlando and we started our theme park hopping the next day. We started off with the Hollywood studios, then the Magic Kingdom, then I got sick so had a down day, and then the next day we went to Epcot and then on our last day on Thursday we went to Downtown Disney. So the last few days were spent just relaxing and enjoying our last few days together. We ended up trading in Artie’s Jeep for a 2009 Mazda CX7. Yep, we had a fantastic vacation. Artie left on Feb. 25th, and then found out that he’s been DA (Department of the Army) selected for recruiting and that his school date starts in September. So depending on what happens he might be coming back for my college graduation on June 13th. (Crossing fingers). Click here to see the vacation pictures. |
