Madison 4 Weeks Old

Hi Everybody!

I've been getting increased demands for more pictures that aren't so subtle, so here's my opportunity to talk a little bit before I give you what you really want!

Madison has been doing great and I'm really enjoying my time off with her. She's spending more time peacefully awake every day, which is more fun for me than watching her sleep. She's now following movement with her eyes and and responding to our voices more. I was so sad when I had to start naming her age by weeks instead of days! It won't be long before it's months!

Her new trick is to poop on us (by us, I mean ME) as soon as we finish her bath and have her wrapped in a towel. Sleep is still a challenge. We have good nights and bad nights.. The hardest part of the bad nights is the getting her to go back to sleep.

Our one day a week babysitter fell through so we had to find a daycare at the last minute. I think we've found a nice lady to watch her on Wednesdays after I go back to work. She runs an in-home daycare and is on our way to town, about 1/2 mile from our house. I'm extremely nervous about letting a stranger watch my baby, but I guess that's the price working parents have to pay. We're just lucky it's only one day a week instead of every day.

She doesn't have a doctor's appointment until she's 2 months old, so we weighed her on Grandpa Cliff's meat scale last night to see how much she's weighing these days. 8 lbs 3 oz-that's a full pound in 3 weeks.

For those of you that have sent gifts-Thank you cards really are on the way, I'm just not done addressing them yet. Hopefully that will get done during nap time tomorrow!

Love and Hugs,
Craig, Tammy, Madison, and Bandit
