| I put my rain gauge out last night because the newscaster said we could have between 3-5 inches of rain during the night. Most of our rain was early this morning and when I checked the gauge at 7 a.m. it had a little over 4-1/4 inches of rain in it. It rained so hard around 6 a.m. that it sounded as if it was inside my bedroom. The lightning and thunder that went along with it was HORRIBLE - no sleeping, that's for sure. These kind of storms can go someplace else for all I care. I'm sure the burning ban has been lifted on the counties that had it because with rain like we had, the ground is WET. |
