Kennewick Trip

Last Thursday we took Heidi's cats to her in Kennewick. The ride was interesting and we had a good time while we were there.

Catching the kitties was fun to begin with. We had to be real still and let Brandy, the skittish one come to us. It took about an hour, but we finally got her in her cage. Chloe was right there watching, so we put her in her cage. We were ready to go.

We left about 10am. The weather was blustery with scudding clouds and area showers. We took Interstate 90 East. As we got closer to the Snoqualmie Pass the showers turned to steady rain.

Once over the Cascade mountains the weather slowly cleared. By the time we got to Ellensburg we were under sunny blue skies. Then we enjoyed the rolling hills and vineyards of Washington's wine country.

We got to the Tri-Cities area about 2pm. Of course the cats were unloaded first. Brandy scrambled underneath the bed and Cloe started checking the place out.

The kids have a nice two bedroom apartment on the third floor of the building. They have a single car garage in the same building. They have a very large deck and lots of storage space.

Artie works at the recruiting station about six blocks away on the same street. When he got home and changed clothes, we went to dinner at the Red Lobster.

We left for home about 7:30 and had a beautiful sunset to watch. Cheryl managed to catch a nice image of that. We got home, pretty tired, about 11pm.

Now, it's much more quiet around the house.
