On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2007 our family lost Wayne Mc Williams. He was my ex father in law and my son's Grandfather. He was the best! Last night, November 17, 2009 we lost Vera Mc Williams. She was my ex mother in law and my son's Grandmother. She was the best too!
Vera had had bone cancer for the last year and it spread very fast. She would have celebrated her 89th birthday tomorrow, November 19. Before she died, she was lucky enough to travel by plane to see her children who live in Utah and Washington St. She didn't like to fly, but it was the only way she could travel such a distance. She had just returned home to Tennessee November 12.
In the 30 years that I knew Vera I never saw her get mad, not one single time! I never saw her cry either, at least not until Wayne, the love of her life got sick with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was a wonderful woman, a hard working woman. Never heard an I love you, but you always knew she did. I will miss that fine woman and be happy to know that she and Wayne are together again and will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary in Heaven, whole and healed.
