I did something today that I have never done. I made some fresh deer sausage. Someone gave Michael and his friend a leg. He cut some off for steaks, gave me the leg and said can you make sausage out of this? I told him I'd try.
Today was the day for trying. I have no clue if I used a good recipe, but after cooking a small patty, it does taste pretty darn good. My cat, Daze, thought having fresh deer meat in the house meant he got a free meal!! Wrong!! For an indoor cat, he sure seems to be wild for wild game!
Now I have 5 pounds of deer sausage for Michael. I hope he likes it!!
