The Flood Aftermath

December 27, 2009

Here are some aftermath pictures we took today at Little Rock AFB and along Hwy 107. The small base lake is almost back to it's normal size. You can now see the bridges that were completely under water Thursday. Also there are a couple pictures taken at road level and you see a ridge of residue, that is how high the water got!!

Along Hwy 107 the tractor is now out of the water and you can see a waterline on the brush in the background. The water is subsiding, but slowly. There are a couple pictures of the car that was submerged by the church and it's still submerged. Also there is a picture of the residue which shows you how high the water was! It was amazing for sure.

The sun is shining bright today and it's 50 degrees. A great day to be out and about. Bill and I stopped at Wal-Mart, bought a bunch of stuff on clearance, some stocking stuffers for next year and even a couple presents for Autumn. May as well get a head start on stuff!!
