Golf

In June, Barb and I along with eight friends took advantage of a deal from our local neighborhood casino ( doesn't everyone have one?) to participate in a "Stay and Play" package. The package included golf at three five star courses and two nights at the hotel. On the first day we played the casino course, Sweetgrass, and checked into our rooms. The course was great as were the cocktails after the round.

The second day we golfed Greywalls which is in Marquette Mi. It was the most challenging course I had ever played. Many of the shots were blind so you weren't sure where you would wind up. After golf, which we finished just before it started raining, we stayed in Marquette for dinner and drinks. After dinner we headed back to the casino.

On the third day we checked out of the hotel and headed to Iron Mountain and the final course, Timberstone. We had all golfed there before and like the course a lot. It is built into the mountain above the ski jump. It had rained about three inches the day before so the course was very wet but still fun. We got rained on three times for about five minutes each time. After post round cocktails we all headed home, tired but happy. We are all looking forward to doing it again next year.
