Red Wind Casino

This big bus stopped next door this morning at 8:30 to pick up a number of people from our three buildings here in this location to take us to Red Wind Casino near Olympia WA. We were on our way and the freeway we were on went right through the middle of Ft. McCord and Ft. Lewis. As we were driving we saw a sign that said "Watch for low flying aircraft". Not sure if we were just lucky but a HUGE four engine cargo plane went right over the top of us as the end of the landing strip was right next to the other side of the freeway. As we were driving, that big dude looked as if it was so low it would take the top of our bus with it as it went right over the top of us. Just FANTASTIC to see.

We arrived at the casino at 9:30 and didn't leave until 3:30. Too long of a day at a casino if you're not a big player and neither Darlene or I are. Darlene won a little money and I lost about $7. We ate lunch there and being we're seniors, we could get a 25% discount on anything we bought.

This bus was supplied by the casino and we found out today that all the buses that go to the casinos are supplied by each casino (which are MANY up here). If a concern that wants the bus (such as all our units) can "promise" to have a full bus, they send one out. We only had 37 show up this morning even though we had 52 signed up so the gal that made this happen (she lives in one of our units) said she's not sure if the casino will continue sending us a bus being we didn't have a full bus - they only do this once a month to whoever wants them. And, we didn't have to spend one penny for the bus. Each bus load of people take up a collection of at least $1 from each passenger to give to the driver and we had one really great driver. This bus felt as if we were floating the whole time we were on the bus - really smooth.
