Pacific Science Center - PLUS

Cheryl called this morning and asked if I would like to go to the Pacific Science Center with them and I said yes. It was such a nice day to get out and we were going to see a special Halloween presentation in the Planetarium. When we got there, there were only two seats left and we needed three.

We found that they also had an IMAX show about Beavers that lasted about half an hour, so Cheryl got tickets for that. As far as I am concerned, that was so much better than anything else we could have seen as it was so informative as well as such beautiful scenery.

We walked around the Center and visited the Tropical Butterfly House. The butterflies were very pretty and even landed on us. We then visited the Naked Mole Rats, one of John and Cheryl's favorites. They were fun to watch. There was a hands-on display of water hoses and some of the things they could do. I got to do that and it was so much fun because a person could direct the water hose at objects and make them go around. On the grounds of the Center we watched the big fountain as it pulsed to music.

When we left the Seattle Center John took us for a ride up near by Queen Anne Hill. That is one of the oldest parts of Seattle. Multi-millionaires used to live in Seattle's hey days. There were many gorgeous old homes. While we were up there, we drove into a VERY OLD cemetery. Some of the monuments had dates on them going back into the mid 1800's.

After leaving Queen Anne, we went to Bellevue to an actual drive in restaurant (I expected to see them in roller skates, but they weren't). We had hamburgers, fries, onion rings and shakes. It all was VERY good.

John & Cheryl then brought me home which ended a very good and fun day. The weather was gorgeous. We had bright, sunny skies all day.
