Snow Adventure

I got my walker (just for an emergency such as today) out of the car this noon and sat at the bus stop, as it was snowing, out here for 20 min. I LOVED every minute of my wait because I was dressed warm and had my new boots on. When I got on the bus, the first thing the driver asked is "are you going up the hill" and I told her no. She said none of their buses would be going up the hill today but fortunately my beauty shop is in downtown Kent - bottom of the hills. It snowed quite hard all morning so there was a lot of snow on the streets which was turning to slush when I came home.

Darlene tried to talk me into taking a taxi home but when my hairdresser called for an appt. to pick me up, they told her it would be a minimum of an hour wait so I told her to cancel it. I walked close to 3 blocks over to catch the shuttle bus home but being I had my walker, I had NO problems and enjoyed every minute - it was very lightly snowing by this time. I didn't think it was that cold (it was 32) because we didn't have any wind but it's been coming up now. I only waited about 2 min. and here came the bus. The driver told me the schedules are all messed up today so even if I would have known when a bus should be coming, it most likely wouldn't have been there.

This has been a great new adventure day for me.
