Today's Ride

Darlene and I left here this morning at 10:30 to drive to Sumner. We drove around the town, OLD, and saw a restaurant that Kathy had told us about. I wasn't hungry yet so we decided to go on up Hwy 401E to Bonny Lake. Stupid me left my GPS on the counter so I had to go by the maps. I finally found the road I wanted and drove what seemed like forever. We could see the end of Bonny Lake and it is LOW and nothing but mud at the end. I drove on up the road and saw a sign for Tapp Island so I took the turn-off.

There was a security guard house up the way and the guard told us it was a security area but let me drive on through. What houses - some of them were mansions but no way for us to get down to the water. The houses that had their own boat docks at the back of them couldn't use their boats because the inlets didn't have any water in them. I couldn't find a place to take a picture of the lake except as we were going out and a car was right on my bumper so I couldn't stop.

Accidentally leaving my GPS home sure taught me a good lesson today. A map just doesn't do it for me anymore being I'm used to my GPS now. We got home at 2:20 p.m. I'm sending you three pictures which are self explanatory and are all taken on different dates this month. The picture of the Gazebo in Sumner is where the town has concerts in the summer.
