Potato Frenzy and Grapefruit

Carol and I were out in the back yard working yesterday and found two "Volunteer" potato plants growing amongst her flowers maybe 20 feet or so away from my Veg. garden. The cool weather had killed the potato plants so we were digging them up as they did not belong there anyway. Too our surprise there were potatoes to be harvested. What a shocker ........ We dig up both plants and got about 25 potatoes. An odd combination of Red and White. Some were tiny but many were full size. Odd to say the least as we did not plant the potato eyes at all. Our only conclusion was the our neighbors dog may have jumped over the brick wall to help "fertilize" her garden and left undigested potato parts which somehow germinated ???? Who knows.

We also took a "Fruit Break" as it was warm yesterday and fruit off our trees is so sweet now. We took a Ruby Red Grapefruit to eat which made me think of taking a picture as this tree is a dwarf tree that is always loaded with fruit. The fruit is so very good and juicy. We get two or three crops a year as it makes fruit all the time.

I have attached a couple of pictures ............ Potato frenzy and Grapefruit.
