Breakfast

What a FANTASTIC morning I've already had. There were four of us that went in Linda's car to the Senior Center for a great Easter breakfast put on by the Kiwanis with entertainment from a singing group. There were 7 women and 2 men in the group and they sang Broadway Hit Tunes along with Amazing Grace. Everyone kept clapping for an encore and they did that without music. They sang for about 35 minutes which left us all with such an uplifted feeling. I'm sure all the people in this group were at least in their 60's and had wonderful voices.

Every table was full so they must have "sold out" even though this was free. It appeared that they put the tables closer together than usual because the only way to be served is if each person had a ticket and there wasn't one empty seat in the whole place. The Kiwanis have done this at the Kent Center for 34 years. The Key Club and some of their kids did the serving. Each table had a tablecloth and napkins all in Easter colors. Ham and scrambled eggs along with biscuits and gravy, all the orange juice anyone wanted, coffee and pieces of candy on every table. I asked for a separate biscuit as I don't like biscuits and gravy. Breakfast started being served by 9 a.m. and we left there at 10:30 - we were at the first table in front of the stage.
