Judie and Family

I've just gotten off the phone with Judie. Jim found her cell phone, it was in the basement. Judie is still in shock, but we had a good long conversation and she assured me that no one was hurt. Their house is a shambles, every tree in her back yard is gone, parts of the roof of her house are missing, every window was blown out. Judie said the pressure was just unreal. Their cars are demolished.

Frank and Dianna live about 2 blocks from Judie. The only way Judie could recognize their house was because the front door is still there, the rest of the house is gone. They took cover in the basement like Jim and Judie did and all are OK.

Matt and Jaime did the same thing. You most likely have seen the picture Matt sent. Joplin is just devastated. School is out for the remainder of the school year, the high school is completely destroyed. Harmony Heights Church (where we all attended) is gone, the grocery store I used to shop at is gone. Judie does not know what they are going to do next.

God Bless her friend. Her friends house was not touched and she came into Joplin to find Jim and Judie. Not only are Jim and Judie staying with them, but so are all the kids. People have been very generous to give food, diapers, clothing, milk, TP, everyday ordinary things you need. Judie is not sure how long they will be with the friend, but she is very thankful that everyone is OK. As I know any more information or get any pictures, I will relay the info. Judie said to thank all of you for praying for her and her family. We need to continue to pray for them and the rest of Joplin residents that were affected by the tornado.
