Update - Judie and Family

I talked with my sister today. The recovery process in Joplin is painfully slow. The city's devastated to say the least. Jim and Judie had good insurance on their household items and got only about a 1/3 of that. The house has been gutted, it's still standing. No roof, but standing.

They are still at her friends house, because no other place is available at this time. The realtor they went through to buy their house said that all rental houses they had listed and all homes in the 50,000-150,000.00 price range were gone within 48 hours. There are no rentals, homes or hotel rooms available at all.

Judie is quite discouraged. Packers are there to pack up their belongings, but like Judie said, they packed, pencils, papers, coffee mugs, lotion all in one plastic bag. Problem? The coffee mug had coffee in it, they did not empty it. The lotion did not have a lid on it, they did not do anything about that!!!! That is serious stupidity folks. Bill warned me when we were leaving NJ and going to Joplin --- packers will pack anything and everything, including cups of coffee, trash, what ever.

Please continue to pray for the people of Joplin, not just Judie and her family, but all who have lost a home or business. The destruction is just incredible.
