Day Trip to Sequim (Skwim)

What a fantastic day we had. Darlene & I took a taxi over to the other three buildings where the bus would start loading. I wanted to make sure I got the front seat so I could take pictures. I'm shocked at the quality of the pictures I took from the bus because it was hitting bumps, etc. so I thought they would be terrible but surprised they turned out so good.

We came back over to our three buildings to pick up the rest of the people from here and then headed to Auburn Shag to pick up two more ladies. (There were a few men on board but not many.)

We left Auburn at 9 a.m. sharp headed for Sequim WA where they have the least precipitation of anywhere in western WA. We had some rain as we approached Sequim but as soon as we hit the city limits, it quit raining. We arrived in Sequim (non-stop) at 10:55 a.m.

We went first to the Lost Mountain Lavender Farm and some of the people went into the fields and cut their own lavender, took it into the Gift Shop where it was weighed and the people paid for what they picked.

We left there and Bryan, our bus driver who was the absolute best, went to the Safeway parking lot where most of the fast food places were and gave us one hour for lunch. Linda and I walked to DQ, a little over a block away, and the rest of the group of 35 all went their separate ways.

When we left there we went to the Cedar Brook Lavender Farm where some of the people bought more gifts and took pictures.

When we left there we stopped at Seven Cedars Casino and stayed for one hour. One of the gals on board won $200 in that time. We were then on our way home and arrived here at 6 p.m. sharp. Tired but a good day. I took many pictures but only saved 20.

When we got home, we heard that Marian (two doors from me) won $5,000 today at the Red Wind Casino where a Red Wind bus goes once a month, which she was on.

UPDATE P.S. The person who told me that, got her story mixed up and Marian only won $500.
