10a Candy and I just got in from picking our first sweet corn for this year. My first patch is 11 rows @ 20ft long each. We picked 173 ears and they were fair winners 4 were short, 2 had a bug hole in them, no corn worms and no bugs in sight, one ear could have been picked yesterday. In this same patch, there is near 100 ears to be picked this coming Sat. My second patch has not tasseled yet. My guess in 30 days from now.

Mom is going to cream these ears. Next Sat will be straight corn - blanched and cut off for freezing.

6p Well the corn mess is done We got 26 qt baggie full of creamed corn. Cut 22 cups of raw corn, add a stick of butter and a pt of 1/2-1/2, then bake at 325 for an hour - stir every 15 mins. Then cool very quickly in the bathtub with cold water, ice cubes and flat pans the will expose alot of surface area. Then baggie it up

Absolute lo cal !!!!! Yum x a million

Tomorrow is making salsa from 20# of tomatoes + goodies. Been using the same recipe for 25 yrs

My garden is producing big time right now. It is 20ft x 200 ft
