Speech Class

I am so glad to have this speech class finished. By far, it has required more hours of work to complete the class assignments, than in the first two classes. When all you need to do is write a paper, you are finished when the paper is done. As you know, that isn't the way it works for speech class. That is only the first part! Then it's time to practice and perfect. Many hours doing that.

Anyway, we started the next class on October 24th. There was a small break in between. After this, the next class is scheduled to begin January 9th. At least they are letting us know what we have coming up.

We, the class, had a special visit from eight members of the St. Louis Student Council along with two professors. They wanted to come out to meet with the students here. It was pretty interesting. Seems that a majority of the professors as well as the student body are extremely interested and motivated by the program. It will be interesting to see how this develops along the way . Dr. Ken Parker, one of the main people behind this program mentioned that in the five year plan, they are focusing on extending this to include a Bachelor of Arts Degree as well. That got my attention. Apparently, there are many things going on behind the scenes!
