Christmas

Christmas came early this year to our household!! So did our 26th Anniversary!! How does that happen? Very simple, Santa knew I was a very good girl this year!!! He knows everything you know.

Actually what happened is my dear sweet husband got us tickets to a couple of shows at Verizon Arena. First show was last Friday night. We started the evening out with dinner at Sr. Tequila--great Mexican food! From there we went down to the Verizon to stand in line and wait for them to open the door. I thought we were early, but as it turns out, many others had the same idea. We waited and waited it seems. Finally got inside, thank heaven, my feet were killing me and it was cold! Thought I should dress up for this special occasion, so of course I wore heels. MISTAKE! Once inside, we got a glass of beer and found our seats. Shoes came off!!! Then it was 8 and the show was to start! What show you ask? Trans Siberian Orchestra!!! And what a show it was!!! I took pictures with my cell phone but they are lousy and do not do justice to the light show, pyrotechnics or fireworks at all. We sat for two hours enthralled with all the spectaculars of this show. If you have never gone, and they are in your area, I strongly encourage you to go!! You will not regret it. What a super Christmas present!!

We saw another show last night, this was my Anniversary present. Last night we began the evening at Olive Garden. YUM YUM YUM!!! Again after dinner we traveled down to the Verizon Arena, for the second show in one month. For us, going out to dinner in the space of 5 days is so rare that it just doesn't happen. Again, going to another show in the space of 5 days also does not happen. Guess we are boring people, we tend to stay home. I'm an old fashion girl and still cook most meals from 'scratch'. Nuff said. Second show was Cirque Du Soleil -- Dralion. It was super. No pictures for this show, ticket said cameras and cell phones were prohibited. And to prove that point, someone a few seats down from us was using their cell phone, before the show began, but after the lights went down, texting. Some one came along with a flashlight, shined it on that person and said NO cell phones! Boy did she tuck that thing away quick!! Again this show was beyond words. I loved it. We have the DVD of Dralion so I sorta knew what to expect, but seeing it in person was a big deal. So I say again, if you can go, do it. It's so worth it. I'm not sure what part of the show I liked the best, same with TSO, it was all fantastic!!

That's my Christmas & Anniversary presents, given early, but enjoyed for the rest of my life. Merry Christmas!!!
