The Walmart Bus

We took the Walmart bus today and as we got on, it wasn't raining but as soon as the bus started up, here came the rain. When we got off at Walmart, it wasn't raining but all the time we were in the store it poured. When the bus came back to pick us up we got on with a tiny bit of mist in the air and as soon as we started up, RAIN and then some. We got home and no rain. One of those lucky days.

I told Darlene when we got off the bus at the store "I better take my picture now because it might be raining when we come out". This was my day to avoid the rain. We only had four on our bus today because it's the end of the month and no one had any money. I basically went for a surge protector for my a/c as I didn't have one before which I kept forgetting to buy.

The bus driver told us that in their first 5 weeks of this bus in WA, we surpassed any week that Portland has ever had - going on two years. I questioned the driver about the bus and he said he works through a tour bus company and this bus belongs to them but it is leased by Walmart and that's the reason for all the Walmart painting on it. The driver was telling us all the places they go up here in the Seattle metro area in addition to just the Shag buildings - lots of different buildings.

I asked the driver about the size of the Federal Way store and he said that the Portland store and this store are the two biggest Walmarts of anywhere - so he's been told and I have to tell you, it's a HUGE store - it makes Auburn look like a little store and it's big. I walked from one end of that store today to the other end because the things I wanted were on opposite ends - my legs were really tired when I sat down in Subway to wait for our bus.
