Casino

If we could have ordered a more perfect weather day than we had today, I doubt it could have been possible. When we left here at 8:30 this morning to go on the Snoqualmie Coach bus to the casino (it holds 56 people), it was cloudy. The driver came right out here to our driveway and picked 16 of us up from these three buildings. We made three other stops on the way to the casino and I'm sure the bus was full by the time we got up there - we arrived a little before 10 a.m. As we turned onto 405 and headed up towards I-90, the sky was perfectly gorgeous - totally clear. When we got up to the Casino, it was still gorgeous outside - a little cool as it was just 36 early this morning.

Darlene and I hung around together, by ourselves, as we both like to do the same things. I asked her once if she would like to go out onto the top story of the parking structure and she said "sure" as she had no idea what I was talking about. We went up there and when I went to get my camera out, the batteries were dead as I forgot to check it before we left home. I had changed purses and forgot to get the batteries out of my other purse so I was stuck up there with no way to take pictures. The mountains still had snow on them and with the gorgeous day, I was really kicking myself. It was a little more than cool up on the top of the parking structure but we sat up there (on our walkers) for about 15 min. in the sun just enjoying the peaceful sounds of the mountain - no other noise from anything. Darlene was amazed that I knew how to get up there but I told her John had been there twice before so I knew how to get up there.

We had so much fun on the bus coming home as some guy was on there that goes to the casino every day so knows the bus driver. He sat up behind the bus driver after our last drop off before home and he was a crack-up. All the people at the other two stops, go up there EVERY day so the driver knows them all by name - all Orientals. It's a good deal because we pay the driver $10 when we get on and then when we get off, we go inside the casino to the desk and we get our $10 back, plus a "coupon" for a free $14.95 buffet. The $10 we give to the driver is for the bus line so Snoqualmie gives it back to us when we go inside. A person could do this every day (as the others do) and get a free buffet so they never have to cook at home except for snacks. This casino has some of the best buffet food a person could ever eat. Today we both had (small pieces) chicken, ham, salmon, steak and then Darlene had liver and onions - yuk..... I had fresh green beans - Asian style - along with drinks and rolls. Of course, practically any type of dessert a person could want so we were full. Part of the reason to go up on the roof so we could do some walking.

I lost $3.21 because I wouldn't spend anymore money but I sat on the same machine for right at one hour and that's all I lost of the $15 I put in the machine. $10 of the $15 was what I got back from the bus ride.

The gal that lives in our building, arranged this whole thing (she works at Snoqualmie) so we were talking about making this a once a month happening as they pick us up right outside our building - can't beat it. Our bus left up there at 3:20 and we were home by 4:45 p.m. - same driver both ways. The bus we were on was sooooo comfortable, and quiet, it was hard to believe we were moving and we had an excellent bus driver.

TOTALLY A FUN DAY!!!!!!!! Next time I go I will make sure I have good batteries in my camera.

The above is a seven day a week bus but we prefer to go during the week. While we were up there, someone was making a commercial inside the casino so we were limited where we could go but only on the smoking end of the casino - where we don't go anyway. This casino opened in 2009 and is the prettiest casino I've ever been in. No hotel in this casino though.
