Hello to the family.
The Summer heat is beginning to arrive here in Palm Springs as one would expect this time of year. It is in the low 90's everyday but very nice in the evenings and night time. That will soon change to just plain HOT however and the swiming pool will then be the center of attention.
The one aspect of this time of year is the immediate flowering of our rose bushes. In a few days they put out an abundance of flowers that are just so beautiful. The roses do not last very long due to the heat but they are wonderful for a few days each time a new set appears.
Carol and I were working in the yard this morning and I saw these flowers calling to me to come over and smell them -- Soooo sweet and aromatic -- they fill the air with a smell that is hard to describe except to say its wonderful. I wish we had "Smell-o-vision" but you can get an idea anyway.
