Casino Day

August 19, 2015

Darlene and I went on the Snoqualmie bus today to their casino and basically fooled around. I ended up being ahead $25 but only because the penny machine (the only ones we play) had a credit in it that someone walked away from. When I sat down to start playing, I noticed the credit and all at once as I started winning on this machine, I could see how much money I was going to get so that's when I cashed out - no more gambling for me. Once I win any amount, I quit playing so I can come home with more than I had when I went, hopefully.

I'm still full because we had a delicious buffet - $10.95 for seniors but, as usual, I ate too much. I had ham, salmon, gorgeous whole green beans. three small pieces of potatoes Au gratin, 3 deep fried mushrooms and a piece of steak only someone with horse teeth could chew. I tried one bite but had to spit it out (so did Darlene) because no way could we finally swallow it. Of course, we both had a very SMALL slice of cheesecake.

When we ride these Casino buses, we pay $10 to get on and we get the $10 back when we go inside plus they give us a $10 coupon to eat anywhere we want in the casino - many different places. So actually, all it costs is our $.95 plus tax for eating for the whole time we're up there. We get there right about 10 a.m. and the bus leaves at 3:20 to come back to Kent (two other stops en route).

We sat in the bar and watched the last 2 innings of the Seattle Mariners / TX. Rangers game (from TX) while we were sitting there having a Sprite (me) and a Coke (Darlene) - Seattle lost. I asked the bartender if he could put the game on, where we were sitting, and he said "sure" so he did. There are TVs all around the bar and something different on every TV. This bar is elevated (with a ramp up to it) something to write home about as it is totally open to the whole casino and is round with seating all around. This is the most beautiful casino I've ever seen in my life and it's only been open since Dec. of 2008.

The bus says "Whoop It Up" on the side and when riding in these buses, you can't even tell you're on the road and our driver (who we knew from before) was absolutely the greatest.

The temp got to 91 today, the last I heard so it was a hot day. Darlene and I went up on the top floor of the parking lot and took some pictures but after a few minutes, we had to go inside because it was TOO HOT with all the concrete and no cover on the top floor.
