Snow Drive Home 11/22/10
By Cheryl Schmit
After about 6 hours, I finally made it home. I left work about 3:30pm and arrived home about 9:30. As I got to the hills to go up to our house, I found road after road closed. So I had to go around the back way. I made it, safe and sound.

I hadn't watched it before but it was sure a lot of fun as it was live so my friend Darlene watched it from home to see if she could see me.

Des Moines Pier 11/04/10
By Barbara Lawrence
Darlene and I left here at noon to go to the Des Moines pier to sit and enjoy the gorgeous weather. When we saw all the gulls sitting on that "sandbar", we realized the tide was coming in so they didn't get to sit there long. We were there for over an hour just sitting and walking around a little bit enjoying the beautiful day.
