Storms 04/20/11
By Susie Devries
We did get great storms. no damage though, other than some little branches falling from the trees. Was 90 yesterday, so far today only 57!! Big storms though, tornado sirens screaming all over. Apparently one did touch down by the base though, and that's only about 9 miles away. I love a good thunderstorm!!

Walking 04/18/11
By Barbara Lawrence
Darlene and I walked over to the new restaurant behind Rite Aid as it's only been open a month or so, if that. We had Deep Fried Sweet Potatoes and there wasn't enough grease on them to even show on the paper under them. They were really good and a lot of them. I think the place is just a little expensive but maybe I just haven't "grown with the times".

After a lunch of fish and chips at the Seattle Center, we headed North around Lake Washington and found a nice little park in Kenmore. A great day with lots of pictures!

Glorious sunshine and large puffy clouds dominated this morning. This afternoon that faded to ominous dark clouds, lightning, thunder, rain, hail, and finally heavy wet snow in places. We got a bit at our house too!

River and Trees 04/03/11

Recent days of rain had us anxious to get out and see the river. We went today to the Green River Valley and looked at the river over flowing it's banks in places. It crested on Friday at flood height. Today it was down about two feet. We had a nice drive. There were lots of flowering Plum and Pear trees to delight the eye.

Darlene and I went out this morning to Fred Meyer as I wanted to get some frozen dinners which are usually cheaper there than at Walmart. We brought them all home to get in the freezer and then picked up some old bread I was keeping in the frig for the gulls.
