A Cooler Coastal Visit 06/28/15
By Cheryl & John Schmit
We decided to get away from the 90 degree heat at home and seek out a cooler experience. Here is our day trip to the coastal areas of Western Washington. We went from the Seattle area through Olympia west to Montesano. Then south to South Bend and around to Bay center. Going home we took State Route 6 to Chehalis and 507 north to the Puget Sound. We did have some light rain but enjoyed the lower temperatures. Enjoy this latest video.

A Busy Time at Farrington 06/27/15
By Blanche Glaeser
What a busy time we are having at Farrington. We had a SEC hosting luncheon with special guests and our Welcoming Committee was there. Our Country Ride is always fun. Every Saturday we enjoy a Country Drive and it's amazing to us that we can drive for 20 to 30 min. and see wonderful sights. To cap off the fun, we rode the Ducks in downtown Seattle. Enjoy these pictures of our activities.

PSC Fun 06/14/15
By Cheryl & John Schmit
A beautiful, sunny day accompanied us to the Pacific Science Center as we went to see the IMAX movie - Living In The Age Of Airplanes narrated by Harrison Ford. We enjoyed walking through the Center, viewing the Naked Mole Rats and other exhibits. The nice weather presented many photo opportunities, and we took them. The movie was awesome. Enjoy todays big page of pictures!

Blanche's Birthday Outing 06/13/15
By Cheryl & John Schmit
After spending last Thursday hiding in her apartment, we thought it would be a good idea to get Mom out for the day. We began with lunch at Anthony's at Point Defiance. There she had the season's best - Copper River Salmon. While we enjoyed our lunch, we watched the ferry to Vashon Island come and go. That prompted a spontaneous decision to take the ferry, tour the Island and ferry to Fontleroy to go home. A fun ride on a beautiful day. Enjoy these pictures from our outing.

It was a beautiful day to get out and see some sights. Taking off in a new direction we headed for the Centralia/Chehalis area of Western Washington. There we found a couple of small towns with lots of new construction. We visited Rainbow State Park and ventured into the hills to explore the area and enjoy the views. Phyllis Visits 05/27 - 06/1/15
By Blanche Glaeser
My friend Phyllis came to visit me for a few days. We had a great time while she was here. We played bean bag baseball, exercised together and she met many of my new friends here at Farrington Court. On Saturday Cheryl took us to see downtown Seattle and we took a harbor cruise there. Then on Sunday John and Cheryl took us east to North Bend, Snoqualmie Falls, then back through Redmond and Microsoft, and finally to Renton where the Boeing plant is. We sure had a great tour. Here are some of the pictures.
