Shooting The Moon 09/27/15
By John and Cheryl Schmit
We had an excellent evening for taking images of the total Lunar eclipse. Barb joined us as we set up our equipment behind the local school for the best view of the rising Moon. Cheryl was the first of the group of people gathered there to spot the Moon between the tall pine trees. We had a gentle breeze and yes, it was a bit cool as you can tell from the pictures. Using her Sony DSLR camera, Cheryl took some great images of the fully eclipsed Moon.

September Staycation 09/14-20/15
By John and Cheryl Schmit
This years vacation was spent around town. A short ride to a cemetary viewpoint, errands and shopping, and a visit to Saltwater State Park and Anthony's Home Port in Des Moines for lunch. We didn't go far but we had a good time. Enjoy the pictures.

The Rachel Project 09/20/15
By Heidi Cardona
Here are the letters spelling Rachel's name for her side of the room. Boy was it a tedious and hurtful project. I not only had to make the little bows but I had to hot glue the "bling" along with that came the hot glue burns. I also had to do two coats of paint, one white and one pink. Hope you enjoy!!

Allen's Birthday Party 09/06/15
By John Schmit
We had a great time with Allen as we celebrated his birthday. Blanche and Barbara joined us for a late summer meal of chicken and corn on the cob. Of course, Allen had his favorite carrot cake. Lots of laughs around the table as he opened his gifts. Enjoy the pictures!
