Christmas was a lot of fun in the new house. Nana and Allen came over and we had a delicious meal. Afterwards we open cards and gifts. A great time with family.

We celebtated Nana's birthday at her apartment this year. Allen joined us for pizza and great conversation. We had so much fun we forgot to take even one picture. Oops!

With just a few day to move into the house, we managed to put together a basic meal. Allen and Nana joined us to celebrate Thanksgiving and we took our annual picture in front of the fireplace.

It's Ours 11/15/17

We picked up the keys to our new home in the middle of a wild, windy rain storm on Monday, November 13th. The 9 month wait is over. Now begins the long process of moving in and making the home ours. With two large storage rooms and a two bedroom apartment it will take a while.

House construction has moved right along in September. Much of the work was on the inside as rooms are finished off and cabinets installed. Outside, they are preparing for even more concrete. Check out these pictures of September's work.

From plumbing to painting, August has been a busy month at the new house. Windows, roofing, garage concrete, electrical and gas have been installed. The heating and air-conditioning system has been installed and siding applied and painted.

Partial Eclipse 08/21/17

We drove up the street to Fry's for an open view of the sky (about a mile away). One picture is from John's cell phone, the other is from my camera. We just held one of the eclipse glasses over the lenses and hoped for the best. The eclipse glasses worked very well on our eyes, but not so good for the camera's. Enjoy.

This is Seafair weekend and the Blue Angels are in town. Being they fly over Lake Washington, I went down to Coulon Park to see if I could get pictures. However, we are a little far south of the event center so my pictures were a little far away. Also took pictures of some of the boats on the lake.

Painting Class 08/01/17

For something different to do, I took my first painting class on Friday, July 28th. It was at Michael's in Tukwila. It was a two hour class, we all painted the same picture. Had fun.

The Foundation 07/04/17

This last month, after the property was scraped and leveled, the foundation for our new home was put into place. It was interesting to see the forms they used and the way they put all the pieces into place. The foundation is now complete and the next step is framing.

The paper work is finished, the permits for construction are on site and the lot has been scraped in preparation for the foundation. It will be an interesting couple of months as we watch our new home being built.

Evans, GA Rodeo 04/29/17

We took the kiddos out to the rodeo on Saturday evening. Michael had a blast sitting on the hourse and steer, playing on bouncy houses and watching the cowboys and cowgirls rope calves and other rodeo events. Rachel wasn't much impressed! Lol.
