By Susie Devries
Here are some pictures I took at Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO. It was a lighter moment after spending two very hard days attending the viewing and funeral of Grandma McWilliams. I have no pictures but after Bass Pro, we went to Lambert's, Home of the Throwed Rolls and feasted on more food than we could eat!!!

Thanksgiving 11/26/09

What a fun and hearty Thanksgiving day here in the Northwest. The house was filled with laughter as we enjoyed the traditional dinner and trimmings. It was great to have Artie and Heidi with us, as well as Allen.

Ben's Update 11/16/09
By Cliff Chamberlin
Ben went to the Cardiologist today and got a fine passing grade. They did a chest x-ray first so the Dr. could see the films. No more water on the lungs, so no more Lasix. Also no more pulmonary hypertension, which is the biggie. Come back in a month for another follow up appt. This as good as we could have asked for! The Morbacker household is now slowing down to just 3 little ones, which is a tornado by itself.

A Long Time Learning 11/15/09
By John Schmit
I finally finished the music video of Heidi's graduation, "A Long Time Learning". This is my first attempt at composing and singing because I wanted to make this project special for Heidi. This is also the first use of Flash files on our website. Cheryl took the still images used in the video. Thanks to Cheryl for all her help and support.

By Susie Devries
I have Autumn enrolled in a HIPPIE program. It's basically like a home school Head Start. Part of the lesson she has this week is to make some French Toast. I think she pretty much has that part of the lesson done already.

Ben Update 11/08/09
By Cliff Chamberlin
Ben is doing just fine. He was moved out of ICU this morning and up to a floor bed. They were going to move him yesterday, but did not have a floor bed available. That was fine with Candy, another night with close eyes watching is just fine. All the lines and tubes are out of him and no more oxygen. Sometime mid-week he'll get sprung and go home. It's been an uneventfull recovery so far. Candy said that's the kind nurses want. We are all grateful.

Ben had open heart surgery this morning at Children's Hospital in Denver. They needed to fix the big hole in his heart, that was the size of a dime. There was also a small hole up next to a valve that they hoped they could do something with.
