Ian 04/28/08
By Erin Lawrence
Chris and I woke up at about 4 a.m., got ready and put everything in the car. At the last minute we got Ian and wrapped him up in his blanket. He was already dressed in sweats and was ready to go. He stayed awake the entire way to San Luis Obispo.

Hen Turkey 04/27/08
By Cliff Chamberlin
I took several pictures of this hen turkey in my front yard this evening about 7pm.    She wandered up from the back meadow and I stood real still and took these thru the picture window (good pun!).     A couple hours earlier, there were three hens together in the rear meadow.

Finished Yard 04/26/08
By Barbara Lawrence
Doug sent me these pictures this afternoon of his finished front and side yard as well as the pool area. The pictures where the love seat and the four chairs are on both sides of the front door of the house, looks out on the pool.

Patio 04/26/08
By Barbara Lawrence
Yesterday Daryl and I thought he would put a border around the new patio of the 12" squares (left over from before) but after getting the chair set put together, he is going to go get 5 more of the pink blocks.  This set is bigger than it looked at the store and takes up more room than we had thought.

Lexi 04/23/08
By Barbara Lawrence
I had put my laundry in the washer and left through the laundry room door.  I was getting ready to go out of the porch and I heard the dog door so I hurried and snapped the picture with my cell phone of Lexi coming through the dog door.  Lisa realized what Lexi was doing and pulled her back through before she could get on the porch.  Lexi is on a constant move.........

Ian, Braden, Ally 04/23/08
By Erin Lawrence
We preregistered Ian today at French Hospital. They took blood. He sat so still on Chris' lap through the whole thing. When she put in the needle he had a whining whimper that lasted until she took it out. That was it! When they put the cotton ball and the non sticky tape around his arm is when he freaked out and started crying. He had to pee in a cup also.

My friend, Mike, is in the Arkansas National Guard and is in Kuwait currently.  His wife is also there along with another one of my friend's Jeanette.  All are from LR.  Mike is building a MY SPACE page and I thought you might like to post it on the web site for family members to look at.  Here it is:

Ian - Hernia 04/22/08
By Erin Lawrence
We met with the surgeon today and really liked him. He said it's pretty much a routine surgery. He looked at Ian's and said "it's a doosie"!  When the hernia is 'out' all the way, the left side of his scrotum hangs over 2 inches long. Surgery is scheduled for this Thursday at 7 a.m.

Last Visit Day 04/19/08
By John & Cheryl Schmit
It was a nice, quiet last day on Nana's visit. There were occasional snow showers and dramatic clouds to watch. Saturday is bread making day so the house smelled great! We made a quick run to the store but stayed in the rest of the day. We all had a wonderful time this last week.

Friday's Shopping 04/18/08
By Barbara Lawrence
I needed to look for some shoes, so we decided today was shopping day. We knew when we left this morning there was a chance of snow, so we decided to go to North Bend first. On the way we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls for pictures. I found two pair of sandles at North Bend before leaving for the Auburn Super Mall. Lunch at Johnny Rocket's and a quick trip through the mall left us wanting more. We ended up at the South Center Mall where I found the perfect pair of shoes at Macy's! We left there for a delicious dinner at Azteca Mexican restaurant.

Thursday's Concert 04/17/08
By Barbara Lawrence
The evening started off great! John dropped Cheryl and I off at the Paramount Theater in downtown Seattle. (Built in 1928.) The music was loud but fantastic for the sold out audience. It was an opening night for the Celtic Women. The four women singers and female violinist performed for two and 1/2 hours. Our seats were dead center, about 100 stairs up, three flights. What a view!

Wednesday Tulips 04/16/08
By John & Cheryl Schmit
It was a colorful day on Wednesday as we went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Field after field of brilliant colors of daffodills and tulips. We wandered back and forth among the fields of flowers in this area about 60 miles north of Seattle. After some heavy picture taking, we stopped and had some refreshing ice cream. On the way home we visited one of our favorite resturants for dinner. A very colorful day indeed!

Tuesday Sightseeing 04/15/08
By John & Cheryl Schmit
Tuesday we went to the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. We had a great time watching them throw the fish. We had lunch there at the Pike Brewery. Then we were off to the Argosy Locks Cruise. There were only four passengers including the three of us. The very personalized tour as we went through the locks between Lake Union and Puget Sound was great! We celebrated the day having dinner at the Olive Garden on the way home.

Monday Sightseeing 04/14/08
By John & Cheryl Schmit
Monday was our first chance to get out and see the area. Nana asked to revisit the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. Rain showers in the area and flowers not in bloom yet kept that short. We had lunch at an authentic English resturant that had great fish and chips. Then we visited the Issaquah Fish Hatchery in the afternoon. Allen joined us for dinner and he Bar-B-Q'd hamburgers for us all.

April Pictures 04/10/08
By Lisa Lawrence
Ok, here are new pics of Alexxis-Rae and the boys! She is walking pretty good unless she gets excited or just doesn't want to. Boy, does she have more attitude and temper these days also! Frani and I painted her fingers the other day for the first time. I have been waiting for her to be old enough since before she was born! That day finally came. They are so pretty. She sat there pretty good too.
We all had a great time this past weekend with the family in Laughlin and Vegas. We did the pool, arcade, dinner, and baby shower stuff. It is always hard to say good bye though. But have to say I am glad to be home!
Hope everyone is doing well... Love, Lisa

Home Improvement 04/05/08
By Barbara Lawrence
Here is a picture of Doug's new pool once he finally got the fence finished around it - no pool without a fence and the City gave him the okay on the whole project just last week.
Daryl had two loads of red rock/dirt delivered this morning to fill in all the "pot holes" in our driveway.
