Autumn and My Flowers 06/25/08
By Susie Devries
A couple years ago I sent pictures of my Angel Trumpet Flower. It was a big plant with beautiful huge trumpet flowers. I loved that plant. I ordered one this year from a catalog. The plant is growing but not much and now it's got a bud. The flower, when it opens will be bigger than the plant itself.

Time Is Moving Fast 06/24/08
By Susie Devries
In just two days my son, William & his family will be arriving here in Little Rock. I am so excited I think I'll split open if I smile too much. The really neat thing is when they get here, they will have a 24 foot U-Haul with all their stuff because they are moving here to Little Rock. Oh man, I can hardly wait!!

Lexi's Birthday 06/22/08
By Barbara Lawrence
As you probably know, we all went to Lexi's 1st birthday party yesterday. I had a few different pictures than Daryl had so will send you three. I ended up staying all night and slept on the Aero air twin bed I let Lisa use. It is elevated so I could get up off of it so I didn't have too bad of a night.

Garden Additions 06/21/08
By John Schmit
Another busy weekend as Cheryl and I got our regular shopping chores done, then went looking for garden plants. We visited a very nice nursery where we found a beautiful coral rose. We then went to an out of the way rhodie garden that had the exact plant we were looking for. Called "Horizon Garnet", the rhodie has deep red flowers and will be a great addition to our front garden.

Visiting With Jack 06/19/08
By Barbara Lawrence
I drove to McKinney (north of Dallas and close to 100 miles from here) yesterday to see Jack while he was visiting Sherri (his daughter) and her husband Hans. Jack flew to Dallas instead of driving so he is up there without a car and was glad that we could "run around" while I was there.

We finally put up vertical blinds in the livingroom. We didn't before because of the cats, but now that they're no longer with us, it was time. It was a good weekend project.

Got home today at 4:45pm. Drove in steady light/mod rain from Denver to Ft Morgan. Then off and on same stuff to Julesberg (CO). Then dry for 65 miles. Craig called on the cell phone and asked if were at N Platte yet? No, we're just coming to Sutherland, 35 miles West. He said pull off interstate and wait 15-30 minutes.

New Job! 06/03/08
By Susie Devries
Good News from Little Rock. Bill has been looking for a job for quite sometime now. This business of poppin' rivets all day is getting old. I guess it would, he's been doing it ever since he retired from the Air Force in 1996.
