Christmas 12/29/08
By Susie Devries
Our Christmas was H-U-G-E this year, no doubt about it. There must have been at least 100 gifts under the tree. I bought 2 pages of TO/FROM stickers with 48 stickers on each. That equals 96. I have 3 left!

Daryl's 5th Wheel 12/28/08
By Barbara Lawrence
Here are two pictures of both sides of the 5th wheel Daryl will be living in for the next two or three months - or more. Daryl was putting air in the tires in the one picture. Daryl was lucky enough to be able to use one of Jan's cousin's 5th wheel trailer, which is nice.

New Job 12/25/08
By Daryl Lawrence
I worked 9 days straight, up until Tuesday night when I got to come home. I am working almost 4 hours away in "Franklin, Texas". It's over by Waco, you probably heard of it. It is a 7 days a week, 12 hours a day job, building the turbine for an electric generating plant, "clean coal technology fired plant".

A Good Day 12/23/08

Today is a good day! The weather is miserable, cold, dreary, wet, just plain yucky! BUT ~~ the good part is I got a call this morning from a very good friend of ours, Mike.

The last couple of days we've had a bit of snow. A little more than we are used to. I took some pictures with my cell phone to try to capture some of the images of the night.

Vacation Week 12/20/08
By John Schmit
It's time to go back to work but having been off this last week couldn't have been better. The Vegas trip was great and getting out before the snow there was icing on the cake. Not having to drive during and right after the snow storm here was also a blessing. I was able to stay home and get projects worked on.

Got home just fine. A very interesting drive. Left Denver to dry bare roads and sunshine and it stayed that way all the way to North Platte Nebraska.

Snow Fun! 12/18/08
By Cheryl Schmit
Pictures are of an Articulated bus in front of our building trying to take out a light pole. Ripped open his side. He’s been there for over an hour now tying up traffic. Snowing pretty good here, was worse than at home.

Moon 12/12/08
By Barbara Lawrence
I took these pictures about 1/2 hour apart to see the full moon as it was coming up. The one had a little bit of clouds over the top of it. I'm also sending a picture of our cute little "girl" - she had to be right by me to see what I was doing, so I took her picture. The reason I took these pictures this month is because the moon is the closest to the earth this month than it will be all year.

Autumn and Christmas 12/08/08
By Susie Devries
Autumn wanted to 'help' when raking the leaves. Also we put up our tree, it's a Leyland Cypress that we went and cut Dec 6. We have a new Christmas decoration for the house too, a miniature nativity scene. Have to have it up high though because the pieces are small and I know little fingers would think they are perfect to play with.

Poopy 12/05/08
By Erin Lawrence
Braden and Ian were in bed tonight. I listened at their door to see if they were asleep, or at least being quiet. This is what I heard (in hushed voices):
